Quixote is a deductive object-oriented database (DOOD) language and also a knowledge representation language for various advanced applications, such as legal reasoning and natural language processing. In this research project, we extend the language to provide facilities for deductive object-oriented multi-database systems and extended mediator systems in wide-area network environments. Especially in such extensions, we can emphasize the following features:

This new language is called QUIK (Quixote in Kyoto), implemented in Java. This software is under development in Java, and will work in any machine which supports Java and C, because some parts of the software include native codes. A prototype sysmtem which has a part of functionality is released. For more detail, please refer to Readme file in the released file.
