(17) A System for Evaluating Linguistic Resources

This study aims at developing HPSG-based grammars of English and Japanese and at providing an evaluation system that enables an integrated uses of various linguistic knowledge in language processing. We will creat a framework for developing declarative and procedural linguistic knowledge and testing them interactively. We will eventually provide a linguistic knowledge development environment that can easily be put into practical use. This will be a major addition to the IFS natural language processing tools.
