(8) Distribution Project of IFS Japanese Morphological Grammar Rules

     In 1997, under the assistance of the AITEC's research
funding program, we have developed the IFS (ICOT Free
Software) Japanese Morphological Grammar Rules and its
user/operation manuals.

     For its wide use, it is essential to:

(1) Develop an interface for Microsoft Windows95/NT.
(2) Enrich and provide application-based guides.

     By revising the present softwares, this project have:

(1) Developed GUI-based programs for Microsoft Windows(R).
    This includes the environment for testing the morphological
    grammar rules, by which users can easily modify grammar
    rules to suit their needs.
(2) Redesigned the manuals, providing an efficient and
    powerful help for the users.
