KNOWLEDGE REPRESENTATION BY CONSTRAINED MGTP AND ITS APPLICATION TO NATURAL LANGUAGE PROCESSING

This study examines a method of representing knowledge as constraints, with the aim of broadening the application areas of constrained MGTP. The final goal is to develop a highly abstract knowledge representation language system. As a part of this process, we will describe natural language analysis, including parsing, based on constraints, as an application of constrained MGTP. From the experience of this description, we will identify any further required constraint description, and reinforce the constraint mechanism of constrained MGTP. The improved MGTP and application programs will be made available as IFS.
